ESSENTIAL OIL EDUCATION

Start with the basics

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are concentrated aromatic extracts from plants. Their scent and character vary by botanical source, growing conditions, and extraction method. They are best treated as concentrated fragrance materials and used according to the product label and safety guidance.

How should I use essential oils at home?

For home fragrance, use a suitable diffuser according to its instructions and keep the space comfortably ventilated. For skin application, essential oils should normally be diluted in an appropriate carrier before use. Do not assume that a natural ingredient is automatically suitable for every person or every method of use.

Can essential oils be swallowed?

Omessence essential oils are not intended to be swallowed unless a qualified healthcare professional has specifically advised otherwise. Keep bottles away from children and pets. If accidental ingestion occurs, do not induce vomiting; seek prompt advice from a poison centre or healthcare professional.
